Snowshoe Walks and Excursions

Walking on the snow on snow shoes is both relaxing and enjoyable.

It works by distributing the weight of the person over a larger area so that your foot won't sink completely into the snow; it is one of the earliest forms of transportation!  Set in the Chamonix Valley with groups ranging from 1 to 8 people every day, (depending if there is enough snow!) your private guide can take you through some breathtaking scenery and share their knowledge and experience of the mountains and wildlife that exists.

We can offer 2 different options, hikes on non glacial terrain and hikes in the alpine environment.

Group Guided snowshoe walks

Why not join a group? Join a local guide with great mountain knowledge for a perfect winter wonderland, allowing access to hidden gulleys and forgotten forests. 

Group sizes are from 5 - 10 people 

Also, for you brave people, if you can really stand the cold, an evening trek is available which includes local specialty evening meal priced at 69 €.  A truly magical experience.

Price includes Snowshoes and poles, but don't forget to take some lunch with you if you go for a FULL day and wear something warm!  Don’t forget the camera!

Glacier Walks

Snow Shoeing on the Mer de Glace - hear the glacier moving, examine crevasses .....

The largest glacier in France at 7km long and 200m deep with stunning views of the crevasses. After travelling up the historic Montenvers cog railway your guide will take you up so close to the glacier that you can even hear it move! 

Groups from 4 to 6 people 

Full day (9am - 5pm) priced at 100 € per person (lunch not included) this is an adventure not to be missed!
